Accommodation is already arranged and covered for everyone. All guests will stay at Pins De La Brume Hotel, Hangzhou, during October 26-28. Breakfast is included. Couples will have their own rooms and singles will be paired with another same-gender single in a room with two twin beds. Room assignments for singles will be known when in Shanghai, but please reach out if you would like to know who you will be rooming with sooner.

Immediate family members will stay at Amanfayun. All wedding activities on Oct 26 and Oct 27 will take place at Amanfayun. Transportation to and back from Amanfayun has already been arranged for guests staying at Pins De La Brume Hotel. The drive is about 5-7 minutes.

We are organizing transportation for guests from Shanghai to Hangzhou for the morning of Oct 26. We will take the 45-minute high-speed railway from Shanghai to Hangzhou.

Please fill out the Transport Form if you would like to participate as we will need your passport number in order to arrange the transportation for you.

We are organizing separate transportation for our bags to be delivered from Shanghai to your respective hotels in Hangzhou. Bags will need to be dropped off at the Edition Hotel in the morning of Oct 26. Of course you may take your bag with you on the train but as there is limited space on the train, it is recommended that for big suitcases, you utilize the separate bag delivery transport we are organizing for your own comfort.

Please note that we are currently not organizing transportation back from Hangzhou to Shanghai on Oct 28. Please reach out to us if you would like help arranging a high-speed railway train back (same one as the one to get to Hangzhou).

For general transport, Didi (Chinese Uber) is a great option and cheap. There is also a great metro.

1920’s Shanghai, Asia Gatsby, Ancient China. Oct 26 and Oct 27 dress code will both be within the theme. Oct 26 will be slightly more casual than on the 27th (dresses, suits) with a welcome reception, dinner, and West Lake Light Show. Please wear your most elaborate clothes for Oct 27. We are currently in Shanghai exploring the best places to show you all. So more details on exact locations and times to come. But during this week, The Edition Hotel will be the meeting/ gathering spot.

SHANGHAI

October 23 evening will be a casual cultural night where we explore places like The Bund, Shanghai Tower. We’ll explore grab dinner together and explore an artsy trendy bar.

October 24 will be our Morning to Late Night Day of Fun. It will be most similar to a Bachelor/ette where we plan on having Dim sum, explore the market, go to a Horror House, have a hotpot dinner, go to a trendy bar, karaoke and visit the famous seven story night club.

October 25 will be a free day for most guests to continue exploring Shanghai. Immediate family members will come together for a meal and wedding rehearsal.

HANGZHOU

On October 26, the morning will start with meeting at The Edition Hotel for bag drop off and transportation to the railway station. We will then take the high speed railway to Hangzhou from Hongqiao train station. The train is very cool and comfortable at 45 minutes. A car will then drive everyone to their respective hotels.

At 3:30pm, we will have a welcome reception at our villa in Amanfayun. Cocktails and casual ancient style dress code. We will then all go to the next door Hangzhou House for a group dinner at 5:00pm before going to the West Lake Light Show at 7:40pm. Then everyone can return to their hotels to rest for the next wedding day.

WEDDING DAY OCTOBER 27 AMANFAYUN

The morning will start with a Tea Ceremony at the Amanfayun villa for immediate family. At 2pm we will start the wedding reception at Fayun Place in Amanfayun. We will then go to the Temple together before returning for Dinner Reception, and 1920’s themed After Party. We will have Fayun Place until midnight on Oct 27.

October 28 will be checkout day and goodbye day. It will be very casual. Breakfast will be at your respective hotels and we will say bye to each other. There will be a photo shoot with some immediate family members.

Payments: WeChat, Alipay

Transport: Didi (for car rides/ Chinese Uber) & local metro. We took a Didi from the airport to our Shanghai accomoodation.

VPN: Many Western apps (Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, Uber) are blocked. Get a VPN before you arrive. Free & Simple option is CatVPN.

WiFi & Service: We purchased a pocket wifi at the airport. You can also purchase a sim card.

Currency:

Chinese Yuan.

Water:

It is not recommended to drink the tap water. Drink bottled, filtered, or boiled water.

Vaccinations:

Vaccinations are not legally required.

Safety:

Both Shanghai and Hangzhou are incredibly safe. Many streets are well-lit with CCTV. Just be aware of pickpocketing in high tourist areas.

Type A & Type I. Common power voltage is 220V/50Hz.

2. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)

3. Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) if coming for wedding only

Note:

• Make sure to fill out the mandatory arrival card before entering into China at visa station. (We filled out our card at the airport when we arrived into Shanghai using airport wifi but you can fill it out before arriving into China too).

• Download Didi to order a car from the airport to your hotel. This may be the easiest option.

• We purchased a pocket wifi at the airport and you can also purchase a SIM card. We also downloaded VPN cat, a simple free VPN option for your phone.

VISA:

ICELAND & CANADA passports. If you have an Icelandic or Canadian passport, you do NOT need a visa. You can enter mainland China visa-free for up to 30 days through Dec 31, 2026. Just make sure the passport is valid for 6+ months

US passports. If you have a US passport you have 2 options:

• Tourist (L) visa — apply in advance at a Chinese consulate; plan a few weeks ahead.

• 240-hour visa-free transit — only if you continue onward to a third country/region (e.g. SF → Shanghai → Tokyo or Hong Kong), not a round trip.
